Your Ideas in Action

Conversation and ideas shared during this four-part virtual crowdsourcing event will build upon the work of the Mental Health Matters: National Task Force on Workforce Mental Health Policy, convened by the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy’s (ODEP) State Exchange on Employment & Disability (SEED) initiative.

You are invited to submit ideas, as well as comment and vote on ideas submitted by others, to highlight and discuss four priority areas:

Benefits and employment policies that meet the needs of those with mental health conditions.

Access to workplace care and supports for those with mental health conditions and reducing associated social stigmas.

Mental health provider and service disparities in underserved communities.

Behavioral health workforce shortages and the establishment of state resource systems.

The task force will use your experiences, insights and suggestions to inform a series of resources and policy frameworks that will help state and local policymakers effectively support workers’ mental health needs and bolster the behavioral health care workforce.

The dialogue series is now closed.
